How to maintain excavator batteries in winter
1. Always keep the battery in a fully charged state. To prevent the relative density of the electrolyte from decreasing and freezing, and to prevent shell cracking, electrode bending, and active substance detachment.
2. The relative density of the electrolyte should be minimized as much as possible without freezing.
3. Check the liquid level of the battery electrolyte before excavator operation every day, and add distilled water if necessary. Adding distilled water to the battery can only be done when it is fully charged, allowing the distilled water to quickly mix with the electrolyte to reduce the possibility of distilled water freezing.
4. Due to the decrease in battery capacity in winter, the engine should be preheated before cold starting. The starting motor should not run for more than 5 seconds each time, and the interval between each start should not be less than 15 seconds.
5. When parking for a long time, insulation measures should be taken for the battery.
6. Regularly clean the battery to indicate impurities and keep the surface of the battery clean.
7. Regularly check whether the electrode post clamp of the battery is loose, and tighten it in a timely manner if it is loose.
