Analysis of Four Factors Affecting the Efficiency of Excavators

2025-04-14

1) Properly carry out construction organization design. The number and carrying capacity of dump trucks used in conjunction with used excavators should meet the requirements of excavator production capacity, and the capacity of dump trucks should be an integer multiple of the excavator bucket capacity. At the same time, try to use the double loading method as much as possible, so that one excavator is loaded and then the next one is loaded. As the two dump trucks are parked on the arc line within the reach of the excavator bucket for soil unloading, the bucket can be loaded in the forward direction and the vehicle can be loaded in the reverse direction, thereby improving the loading efficiency.

2) In the construction organization, the driving route of the dump truck should be predetermined and unnecessary uphill slopes should be cleared. For each excavation lane of the excavator, it is necessary to have an empty return lane to avoid mutual interference when dump trucks enter and exit. Each running track should be kept in good condition to facilitate the operation of dump trucks.

3) Excavator drivers should have proficient operating skills and try to use compound operations to shorten the excavator operation cycle time.

4) The technical condition of excavators has a significant impact on their productivity, especially the power performance of the engine. In addition, when the bucket teeth wear out, the cutting resistance of the bucket will increase by 60% -90%, so dull bucket teeth should be replaced.
