Reasons and troubleshooting of oil burning in Komatsu 200 excavator
The phenomenon of oil burning in the engine of the Komatsu pc200 excavator is one of the common excavator faults. Here, I will analyze the causes of oil burning in the Komatsu excavator engine and provide maintenance solutions. I hope it will be helpful for everyone to deal with such faults.
The reasons for excavator oil burning are as follows:
1. During excavator operation, blue black smoke is emitted from the exhaust, and the observed oil consumption is also higher than usual, indicating that the excavator is burning oil, which may be caused by wear of piston rings, large valve clearances, large valve guide clearances, incorrect piston installation, and other reasons.
2. The clearance between the cylinder liner and the piston is too large, or the piston oil ring is stuck or broken.
3. If the phenomenon of burning engine oil is accompanied by dripping oil from the exhaust, it is likely caused by severe wear or breakage of the piston ring.
4. Burning engine oil, if the exhaust is not very severe, it may be caused by poor sealing of the turbocharger. At this time, it is recommended to remove the pipes at both ends of the turbocharger to see if there is engine oil. If there is engine oil, it indicates that the turbocharger is faulty.
5. In addition, poor sealing of the engine valve oil seal can also cause the excavator to burn oil.
6. There is too much engine oil.
7. Excavators use oil with low viscosity.
Common handling methods:
1. Firstly, check the oil level of the second-hand excavator to see if it has exceeded the upper limit of the oil dipstick.
2. Check the turbocharger and loosen the rubber hoses at both ends of the intake and exhaust to see if they are dry. The discovery of oil may be due to a problem with the turbine, causing oil to flow from the turbine to the exhaust pipe.
3. Pay attention to the exhaust pipe when starting to ignite in the morning. If there is thick black smoke and a clear oil smell, it may be due to turbine oil leakage.
4. Check whether the exhaust gas in the engine exhaust pipe is heavy. Normally, you should see more faint smoke. If the exhaust gas is heavy, or even dripping oil, it is time to repair the engine.
5. In addition, if the oil leakage of the turbine is generally not severe, the exhaust pipe should be checked with emphasis.
6. The correct selection of engine oil should be made, and the corresponding viscosity and model of engine oil should be selected according to the requirements of the excavator, and the engine oil should be selected reasonably according to seasonal changes or different regions; Diesel engines must use diesel engine oil and cannot be replaced by gasoline engines. Different brands and models of engine oil cannot be mixed!
